I was taking a life coaching class at Southwest Institute for Healing Arts and one of our assignments was a "guided visualization". Never having done this before I was not very comfortable. It was the first of many uncomfortable moments to come and the beginning of major change in my life. Guided visualization can be very powerful as I found out that day. It changed my life forever in a positive way for the better. We had to meet ourselves ten years from now, and ask ourselves a question we had prepared. I was writing my book at the time, so my question was “Am I going to publish my book?” I took my hand (or an angel did) in the visualization and said “Oh Tammy….It’s not about the book, it’s about the painting." I went into the "visualization" absolutely sure of the answer. “Of course you are going to publish your book” was what my conscious mind thought. I had no clue as to why I was receiving the message to paint again, as I had started painting in 1991, but had not painted since 1997. I got out my paints, took a refresher class and started painting again. I thought it meant I should not write the book, so I put the book aside and I painted without any sense of direction as to why for the next ten months. While making preparations for a seminar at to which I was to speak, I found myself referring back to my book. I concluded that I needed to write the book anyway, even if it was “Not about the book.” During a dream I had in October of 2006, I saw the cover of my book and it was Hope, the healing angel. I have to admit I was perplexed as to why I was to paint an angel for the cover of my book, when my book was about weight loss. However, I painted Hope and went on to paint an entire series of angels, each with her own name and message. It took me a while to realize that the message in the visualization was not “don’t write the book.” It is a lesson for me to listen intently to the words of my intuition and properly interpret them. The angels and their messages in my art and my book are here to remind all of us: We are not alone as there are angels all around us. Remember to ask them for angelic assistance daily. Be open to receive the answers through your thoughts. Trust in yourself, the answers are within you. My desire is to send the message through my angels and book, that you can achieve what you desire. Ask the angels for daily help in the area of weight management, health or any area of your life you would like to change. Be open to receiving their help and listen to them through your repetitive thoughts and intuition. Even if you do not understand it, try to trust in the answers. At the time of the visualization, I had no idea why I was told to paint, but I trusted my inner mind and the angels and eventually the answer was revealed.
